So… I have been developing software in one form or another for more than 35 years now. I started in my (very early) teens and have been doing it consistently ever since.

Almost all of my work was on proprietary software projects, so I do not really have much of a programming footprint out there. Which is a shame, because I work on software almost all of the time.

Through the years, I worked in very diverse industries. Started of making a game with a group of friends, moved on to financial software and ERPs, then to Cybersecurity solutions and at the time of writing this, geotechnical engineering and structure monitoring. Not a typical path you could say.

Even though I have a public github, not much is on it.

Isn’t it a shame, after so many years and so much code to not really have something to show the world, or at least anyone who is interested, to put it more precisely?

So, sitting in a coffee shop, while waiting for my car maintenance to complete, a thought came to me. Why not put some experiences out there, even in the now really old aging form of blogging?

Even if no one ever reads this, it could be a nice opportunity for a few trips down memory lane.

So let’s see how this goes…
